Layla was most recently Casting Assistant on Adolescence (Netflix) and currently works at Shaheen Baig Casting. Layla has worked in Film & TV casting since 2010, largely as an Associate with casting director Shaheen Baig, and co-casting director on projects such as Peaky Blinders & God’s Own Country. She was nominated alongside Shaheen Baig & Yôko Narahashi at the 2020 TV BAFTAs for Best Scripted Casting for Giri/Haji, and also won an RTS award for Casting for the same project. Layla is currently working across various TV and Film projects at SBC; Recent credits include Netflix’s hit 'Adolescence’ helmed by Stephen Graham, Jack Thorne and Phil Barantini; TV series ‘Toxic Town’ with Robert Carlyle & Jodie Whittaker, & upcoming projects such as Nick Cave novel adaptation ’The Death of Bunny Munro’, with Matt Smith playing the title role and Clio Barnard’s Birmingham-set feature film ‘I See Buildings Fall Like Lightning’ What will this workshop involve? Actors will work in pairs according to age. All performances will be directed with feedback from Layla with a focus on auditioning for TV, the session will end in a Q&A. This workshop will focus on auditioning with direction and guidance from a top Casting Director and Associate. Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy for private lessons: Unless stated otherwise ALL private acting lessons require 48 hours notice for any rescheduling (minus £5 admin fee). Anything less than 48 hours noice is non-refundable due to scheduling. By paying you agree to these terms. Cancellation policy for Casting/Agent workshops: For 3 hour Casting/Agent Workshops 5 days (120 hours) notice must be given in order to receive a refund/credit note. For anything less than 5 days (120 hours) notice, no refund /credit note can be given. For all day intensive Casting workshops 7 days notice must be given in order to receive a refund/credit note. For anything less than 7 days (168 hours) notice, no refund /credit note can be given. Cancellation policy for Courses (Get Set Ready, All day Voiceover course): Unless stated otherwise ALL courses require 7 days notice (168 hours) for all refunds/credit (minus £5 admin fee). Anything less than 7 days (168 hours) is non-refundable/cannot be re-credited due to the nature of the class. Please note with all courses once you have signed up you're expected to attend all sessions. If you miss a session this cannot be credited/refunded. By paying you agree to these terms. Cancellation policy for Weekly Acting for Screen Drop-in Classes: For all refunds/credit 72 hours notice is required (minus £5 admin fee). Anything less than 72 hours notice is non-refundable/cannot be re-credited due to the nature of the class. By paying you agree to these terms. Cancellation policy for ALL Director Workshops/Masterclasses: Unless stated all Director workshops/masterclass require 7 days notice (168 hours) for any refunds/credit (minus £5 admin fee). By paying you agree to these terms. ALL Take One Memberships once purchased for the full fee of £25 are non-refundable and are active for 365 days. By paying you agree to these terms. *Please note* A £5 admin reversal fee will be charged for all refunds. Coupon codes are valid for 6 months from the date of issuance. The code will expire 6 months after it is created and will no longer be redeemable. Once credits have been issued, they cannot be converted back into cash or refunded.
