This exciting all day Voice Over workshop is led by VoiceOver agent Camilla Grevstad Laxton, alongside a professional studio engineer. Camilla will guide you through how to develop the necessary skills you need when starting your career in the VoiceOver industry. The workshop is designed as a really hands on and practical day in a professional sound studio. You will also be given practical guidance on how VoiceOvers can successfully add to your income stream as an actor. Camilla founded and headed up the extremely successful VoiceOver agency 'Chatterbox Voices' for nearly a decade, before moving on to fulfil her artistic vision through her new agency 'Loquacious'. Camilla is a distinctive voice in our industry. She is both an experienced voice talent agent and a versatile voice actor. This workshop is aimed at giving actors as much "On mic" time as possible under the guidance of Camilla, so that you can explore and get vital experience in a safe and playful environment. After the session you will leave with 5 separate clips across several genres: 1X CORPORATE/ E LEARNING CLIP 1X COMMERCIAL CLIP 1X GAMING CLIP 1X ANIMATION CLIP 1X AUDIO BOOK CLIP Any of these can be added to your voice reel after the session. Things you'll cover: Microphone technique & studio etiquette Commercial & corporate projects Audio books, ADR & Video Games Dubbing for Cartoons & Corporate Videos How to Find & Record Your Voice Reel Material How to Approach Agents How to Ensure You're Paid Professional Rates Following this session every actor will get an individual virtual 15 min 1-1 session where actors can ask any follow up advice/questions they may have having taken part in the all day course. There will be date options so to ensure every actor can attend. Camilla started her career as a live continuity announcer. Over the years she developed expertise across all genres of voiceovers and audio production, working for 'glocal' brands including BBC, ITV, Dell, Netflix, Jaguar, Fisher Price and Norwegian Air. Recent credits include Playmobil commercials, Volvo IVRs and one of the voices on the Oslo tramline! With her working insight into all facets of the industry and passion for collaboration, Camilla successfully supports audio projects from the ideas stage, through casting and creation and into post production. Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy for private lessons: Unless stated otherwise ALL private acting lessons require 48 hours notice for any rescheduling (minus £5 admin fee). Anything less than 48 hours noice is non-refundable due to scheduling. By paying you agree to these terms. Cancellation policy for Casting/Agent workshops: Unless stated otherwise ALL workshops require 5 days (120 hours) notice for any refunds/credit. Anything less than 5 days (120 hours) notice is non-refundable/cannot be re-credited due to the nature of the course/workshop. By paying you agree to these terms. Cancellation policy for Courses (Get Set Ready, All day Voiceover course): Unless stated otherwise ALL courses require 7 days notice (168 hours) for all refunds/credit (minus £5 admin fee). Anything less than 7 days (168 hours) is non-refundable/cannot be re-credited due to the nature of the class. Please note with all courses once you have signed up you're expected to attend all sessions. If you miss a session this cannot be credited/refunded. By paying you agree to these terms. Cancellation policy for Weekly Acting for Screen Drop-in Classes: For all refunds/credit 72 hours notice is required (minus £5 admin fee). Anything less than 72 hours notice is non-refundable/cannot be re-credited due to the nature of the class. By paying you agree to these terms. Cancellation policy for ALL Director Workshops/Masterclasses: Unless stated all Director workshops/masterclass require 7 days notice (168 hours) for any refunds/credit (minus £5 admin fee). By paying you agree to these terms. ALL Take One Memberships once purchased for the full fee of £25 are non-refundable and are active for 365 days. By paying you agree to these terms. *Please note* A £5 admin reversal fee will be charged for all refunds. Coupon codes are valid for 6 months from the date of issuance. The code will expire 6 months after it is created and will no longer be redeemable. Once credits have been issued, they cannot be converted back into cash or refunded.
