Tessa is a 2022 Emmy nominee for 'Outstanding Directing for a Multi camera program for Zero Chill on Netflix' Tessa also Directed THE BBC mini-series 'CROSSFIRE' that can currently be seen on BBC iplayer About Tessa Hoffe: After leaving school at 16, Tessa applied for a job advertised in a job centre for a set runner in a production company. Two years later she attended the New York Film Academy making her first short film Barbara Ann and Travis. At 22 Tessa set up her own production company, going on to become the youngest director to helm the iconic New Zealand serial drama Shortland Street, Directing over 30 episodes of the multi camera serial drama. A move to the UK brought opportunities to direct serial drama and children's drama. BAFTA nominated for Series two of Rockets Island and Nominated for Scene of the Year 2018 British Soap Awards . Her latest short film 'Majority', had its World Premiere at Krakow SFF 2020. One of only 13 films selected for the Oscar, Bafta and European Film Award affiliated festival. Majority was broadcast on BBC iplayer in the Comedy Shorts selection and has continued a successful festival run. Tessa's feature film 'SALVAGE' is in development with Sixteen Films and BFI with producer Jack Thomas-OBrien. And is attached to direct the feature film PUNZEL, produced by Rajita Shah. Punzel has been selected to the Edinburgh Film Festival Talent Lab Connects Development Tessa's television work includes the Emmy nominated Youth and Consequences and the critically acclaimed Wayne, produced by the writers of Deadpool. She directed 5 episodes of the teen sport drama Zero Chill for Netflix and directed 4 episodes of the incredibly successful Irish crime drama KIN for AMC, starring Ciaran Hinds, Aiden Gillen and Charlie Cox. Tessa directed CROSSFIRE, BBC's successful new mini series, starring Keeley Hawes and Lee Ingleby and produced by Dancing Ledge Crossfire is currently on BBC iplayer. What will this workshop involve? All actors will be sent a script which they will tape in advance. It will then be watched back and reviewed in the session with guidance and advice from Tessa.
