Service Description

Introduction to Voice Acting for Video Games. For quite a while now we have had lots of actors asking about workshops on Voice acting. We have listened to your request and are so excited to be running our first one with Audrey Sheffield! Alongside a strong background and very varied experience in theatre direction, Audrey has also been working as a voice / game performance director for video games and wanted to offer some insight and share what she's learned from directing in the studio so far with actors who may be interested in exploring or working further in this medium, or would just like to find out a little more about it in the first place. In this workshop Audrey will de-mystify the medium and process for actors - This will include an introduction to auditions and recording sessions - including how to prepare, what to expect, and the different types of recording and varied genres that those sessions might involve. It will be a chance to work with Audrey on different scripts in the room, receive feedback and direction, and to ask all your questions, within an encouraging and supportive space, alongside a group of likeminded actors. Please note - Audrey is not in a position to offer direct advice and guidance on how to get into video games in general - this workshop is more focused on the process of auditioning and the process when recording About Audrey: Audrey is an award-winning Director specialising in theatre, narrative and video games and is committed to creating games that are rigorous, imaginatively ambitious and emotionally truthful. Audrey's game credits include: Desta: The Memories Between (Ustwo Games), another Eden (Gree) and Gwent: The Witcher Card Game (CD Project Red). Recent projects: Desta: The Memories Between (Ustwo Games) - voice director Tom Clancy's The Division (Ubisoft) - voice director Gwent: The Witcher Card Game (CD Project) - voice director Another Eden (Gree) - additional direction How to Train Your Dragon (Glue Mobile, Estranges Libellules) - additional direction 17+ Only (Must be out of licensing) *Please note, workshop information will be sent out to the email address provided at the time of the booking so please do always check it is correct/please do also check your junk folder if you haven't received material or information prior to the workshop*
